Welcome!
My lanterns, chandeliers, sconces, and other lighting
devices are all handmade using original designs, punch patterns, and
features. Even the tools used are tinsmithing tools of over a
hundred years ago. Each piece is antiqued, if desired, and fitted
with old style glass. The museum quality lanterns and trade guns
constructed in the shop are each handmade to the same dimensions and
attention to detail as the originals. As far as trade guns
are concerned, I primarily make the north west trade gun.
These are robust, no frills guns that are accurate to a long time period, and
most parts can be made in house.
The
French Fusil de Chasse will be made on a limited basis, as will
other types I make from time to time; such as blunderbuss, pistols,
blanket guns and such. I have been a fan of the
versatility and simplicity of the flint lock trade gun, be it
English or French, ever since I first came across one.
Each
gun will be made in the manner intended by Tulle, Wilson , Ketland ,
Whately, and others who designed the originals.
